The Western Poplar Line Has Been Activated For HS2 Diversions

At 4am this morning, the Western Poplar Lines were turned on for 25,000 volts of overhead AC Power, these will be utilised by the new Class 895 trains (seen in image 1/2 below) when HS2 begins service sometime in the 2030s, the purpose of this is for potential HS2 diversions out of Old Oak Common Station.
