Class 350/2s Confirmed For Northern Rail

Northern Railway has confirmed that the full Class 350/2 fleet will be joining its electric operations, sitting alongside the existing Class 323s.

All units will receive a £25 million refurbishment, including interior upgrades and reliability improvements, before entering regular service. The refurbished fleet is planned to enter service in late 2027. With some test runs having already taken place on the Glossop Line in Summer 2025.
