Chiltern Railways Nationalised Under Great British Railways

On Sunday, 20th September 2026, Chiltern Railways joined the list of operators that are under the new nationalisation plan, offering better and faster services for UK railways. GBR | Chiltern confirm that there will be 25 extra services daily as of the December timetable change. They also state that 6 more 'Chiltern Explorer' Mk5a sets will enter service with the timetable change.

The first service leading under Great British Railways | Chiltern was 2H11 Aylesbury - London Marylebone, operating with 165002, 168219, and 168322.
